Heejin Kim is a seasoned mortgage professional and co-founder of
JVM Lending alongside her husband, Jay Voorhees. With over 35 years of industry experience, Heejin began her career in back-office operations in 1989 before quickly rising to become one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s top-producing loan officers by the late 1990s. In 1999, she founded her own mortgage company, growing it to more than 50 employees before selling it at its peak in 2004.
Since joining JVM in 2007 as a partner, Heejin has been the driving force behind JVM’s emphasis on systems, processes, and technology—helping shape the company’s reputation for innovation and operational excellence. Born in Seoul, Korea, Heejin grew up in Orange County and later moved to the Bay Area in 1995.
