Vacant Plano office campus to become life sciences, medical center

​PLANO – The city council has approved plans to convert a vacant 1.6 million-sf office campus into a $4 billion life sciences and medical center.

The former Electronic Data Systems campus at Legacy Dr. and Parkwood Blvd. will be redeveloped to create 375,000 sf of pharmaceutical manufacturing space, a 300-room hotel, and 775 apartments surrounding a nine-acre park. 

The first phase will create 2,000 jobs.
