Round Rock to renovate former city library in May

ROUND ROCK – The city has plans to renovate its 35,000-sf former library.

The project team will relocate office zones toward the east side of the building to utilize existing windows and create a more public face for tenants.

The project also includes a redesign of the public paseo that connects to the building.

According to the City of Round Rock’s website, “future programming for the building is expected to include an arts and culture space, the Round Rock Visitors Center, and the Round Rock Chamber.”

McKinney York Architects is designing the project. Braun & Butler Construction is serving as the general contractor.

Construction is scheduled to begin in May.
