Pedestrian bridge over S. Bell Blvd. gets go-ahead for design

CEDAR PARK – The city council has approved the $1.5 million contract for the Lakeline Park to Williamson County Regional Trail connection and pedestrian bridge project.

The project, which can now move into the design phase, includes construction of a new pedestrian bridge over S. Bell Blvd. that allows people to safely cross the highway between Lakeline Park and the Twin Lakes Family YMCA campus.

Also included in the project are trail extensions that will connect Lakeline Park and Twin Lakes Park trail systems, which are on each side of S. Bell Blvd.

After the ten-month design period, construction is anticipated to take roughly 18 months to complete.
