Fort Worth private elementary breaks ground on new school

​FORT WORTH – Fort Worth Country Day has broken ground on the Annie Richardson Bass Lower School, a state-of-the-art, $25 million facility that will replace the existing Lower School built in 1964.

Located at 4200 Country Day Ln. on 104 wooded acres, the new 32,720-sf chool for grades one through four will be completed in spring 2025. It will have a 2,130-sf library, commons area, playground with sports court, outdoor learning spaces, science labs, and study rooms.

Fort Worth Country Day’s Lower school redevelopment is financed by $31 million in donations. 

Lake|Flato Architects is the project designer. Hocker Design is handling landscaping, and Linbeck is the general contractor.​
