NAR reaches agreement to resolve nationwide claims brought by home sellers

AUSTIN – Improvements are underway in the North Burnet/Gateway area, also known as Austin’s “second downtown.”
The plan aims to address growth by redeveloping the area into a high-density, mixed-use neighborhood with improved public transportation and facilities.
The creation of a commercial mixed-use subdistrict, removal of square footage limitations, and permitting for outdoor recreation are among some of the amendments to the plan.
City council member Leslie Pool said the plan is being implemented “just in time” as future projects and even existing facilities, such as Q2 Stadium, continue to make the area a “jewel destination.”
