FORT BEND COUNTY – The Signorelli Co. is developing Austin Point, a 4,700-acre community at the future intersection of the Grand Pkwy. and Fort Bend Pkwy.
At buildout, it will have 14,000 homes an an estimated population of around 50,000.
About 1,600 acres will be set aside for mixed-use commercial development, including 15 million sf of apartments, retail, office, and medical space.
Phase one groundbreaking is slated for later this fall. It will include 421 homesites ranging in width from 35 to 70 ft. The homes will range from 1,000 to 4,500 sf.
The main amenity for the first phase is a central park with a community center. Called The 1824, it will have a café and wine bar with a large front porch, event lawn, children’s play area, beer garden, food truck court, and spaces for outdoor fitness and games.
There will also be an extensive trail system along an existing irrigation canal.
The first homes are expected to be delivered at the end of 2024 with sales starting in early 2025.
