RED RIVER COUNTY – A 1,850-acre meat-production and residential project south of the Oklahoma border will create $1.5 billion in taxable value.
Located at the intersection of FM 410 and CR 2356, the $900 million Living Waters development will have 1,420 home sites starting at $99,500, a 5,000-ft runway for small jets, five lakes, beef and fish processing plants, and two greenhouses.
Construction on two dams has begun, and residential construction will begin by the end of 2023 and take end in five to six years.
The runway will be completed within months. Sixty to 70 lots with their own hangars will be along the runway.
Several hundred acres will be farmland focusing on cattle. The project will be able to produce 50 million pounds of beef and five million pounds of salmon. The beef plant will open in October and create up to 130 jobs.
The project is developed by Prime Harvest Inc. and marketed by Century 21 Judge Fite.
